Kagami Uchiha

Kagami Uchiha (うちはカガミ, Uchiha Kagami) was a shinobi from the Hidden Leaf Village (Konohagakure) of the Land of Fire. He was a member of the Uchiha clan and was part of the escort team led by Tobirama Senju (Second Hokage) alongside his comrades Hiruzen Sarutobi, Danzō Shimura, Koharu Utatane, and Homura Mitokado.

Story 

In the anime, Kagami was one of the first students to enter the academy and graduate. He became acquainted with Danzo Shimura and Hirozen Sarubi and saved them many times with his dôjutsu. During the First Great Ninja War, Kagami and his fellow unit teammates accompanied the second Hokage on missions.

Pursued and eventually surrounded by the Kumo Kinkaku Brigade, the group discusses their options, and Kagami determines that the ambush plan devised by Koharu Utatane won’t work, and instead needs to be diverted to lure the enemy.

 

He then listened to the second Hokage volunteering to play the role of bait, and then appointed Hiruzen as the third Hokage. Although it is not known when this happened, what is known is that Kagami became a father and died at the age of 25. 

He is also known as a direct descendant of Shisui Uchiha that inherited his will of fire rather than the curse of hatred.

Personality

With a strong devotion to his clan, Kagami was distinguished by his involvement in the protection of the village, for which he accomplished many notable deeds.

Despite the high probability of falling into the cycle of hatred related to the awakening of the Sharingan, Kagami always showed unfailing loyalty. For this reason, he was one of the few Uchiha whom Tobirama trusted, as well as one of the six people chosen to work directly under him.

Appearance

Kagami had the appearance of a light-skinned young man, with short black hair, some of which fell around his forehead headband, framing his face. In the anime, however, his hairstyle is more restrained.

At young age, he wore the typical Uchiha outfit of a black high-collared shirt with the clan symbol on it.

In the anime, during the founding of the village when Kagami was still a child, he wore a black shirt with the Uchiha clan symbol on the back, grey trousers, and bandages around his arms and legs.

 

 

 

During the First Great Shinobi War, he wore the standard Konoha outfit of the time. It was a black jumpsuit covered by metal armor on the torso, thighs, and shoulders.

He also wore arm guards, the village headband, a kunai holster attached to his right leg, and a pouch strapped to his back and covered with bandages.

 

 

 

Abilities

Sharingan

As an Uchiha, Kagami was one of the members who was able to awaken to his clan’s kekkei genkai: the Sharingan, which provided him with basic abilities such as seeing chakra flow, the ability to easily detect genjutsu and recognize different forms of chakra, predictive gifts, as well as the ability to copy techniques that the user sees among other things. In the anime, Danzo praised his visual abilities as crucial in saving his life.

Shisui, a descendant of Kagami and one of the Uchiha clan’s most powerful Sharingan users, also known for awakening to the Mangekyo Sharingan, openly admitted his inferiority compared to his ancestor as a shinobi.
